7.40 Wolverhampton (Betway Handicap | 1m1½f, 4yo+)
This race sees a lot of perfectly handicaped runners take on improving youngsters and it's fair to ask if the young improvers are doing well enough to keep the challengers at bay. Our horse racing preview will hopefully shed some light onto this.
Kaser, Universal Gleam, Rangali Island and Felix all enter this race after posting excellent performances last time out. Any one of these four could take a big leap forward in their racing careers tonight.
However it wouldn't be fair to not mention the two horses in the race Sha La La La Lee’s handicap has been dropped to the same mark as her last Victory in May at Chester. Victory Bond is also only 2lb higher than when it won at Lingfield in December.
I think the smart money will be going on one of the the the improving youngsters and Rangali Island has been lightly raced and should be front running towards the end of the race. It's also worth noting that David Simcock (Rangali Island trainer) is in superb form with 6 winners from 19 runners in the past two weeks.
Kaser has five career wins and all of them have been at Wolverhampton including 4 at this distance.
It’s a toss up between Kaser (4/1) and Rangali Island and the latter just gets the nod for me in what is a very tough race to pick a winner in. When betting, it's always worth getting free bets from bookmakers.
Value Bet: Rangali Island at 5/1
