Yesterday's result

Yesterday our selection Royal Advice ran in the 7.55 pm race at Newcastle and won by half a length, at odds of 1.52 BSP and 4/9 SP at the bookies. Down from 10/11 odds early morning.

Prominent from the start, he sent reminders and made headway with a furlong left to travel, pushed along and took the lead to land us the win, although at shorter odds than I'd like. It certainly pays to back these NAPs as early as possible, as they tend to drop in price more often than not.

Today's selection

Today's selection is Mack The Knife and runs in the 7.10 pm race at Bath.

The going is class as good to firm at Bath today, over their flat turf course. The race is a class six Handicap, running over one mile, three and a half furlongs. Nine runners are competing. The age criteria are four-year-olds and upwards—the youngest being a four-year-old, the eldest an eleven-year-old.

Lady Elysia only really looks like she could spoil the party for us. She has performed well previous to her last couple of races and been proven over the dual course distance previously. Still, Mack The Knife has already beaten her. Mack The Knife also looks to be in fine form, winning four of his last five races, so he looks set to run well today. I just hope the extra weight doesn't slow him down too much.

Lady Elysia has eight tips to her name, Mack The Knife three, Grand Canal two and just the one for Essgee Nics.

Trainer Form

James Ferguson is our trainer for this NAP of the day, who has a recent run to form figure of eighty per cent. Over the last couple of weeks, he's had winners in one race from five and secured places in three of these. He looks to be in great form lately.

Jockey Form

Stephen Mooney is the jockey saddling up for us today, who hasn't had any races within the last fourteen days. Stephen has never ridden on board Mack The Knife before, but I'm sure James knows what he is doing by employing his services today.

Horse Form

Mack The Knife ran eleven days ago and is proven over today's distance. He won by one and a quarter lengths in his last race, running in a class five race at Wolverhampton, over a distance of one mile and four furlongs. Before that, he finished in the second position by one and a quarter lengths, in a class six race at Chelmsford, over one mile and six furlongs. Then before then won by a neck in a class six race at Southwell, over one mile and three furlongs.

Betting Odds

Mack The Knife is available at odds of 2/1 at Bet365 and 3.6 at Betfair.

Finally, as always, have a great day and let's hope our selection wins for us today. James.
