Yesterday our selection Sandymount Rose ran in the 2.40 pm race at Ludlow and managed to finish first for us at odds of 1.93 BSP at Betfair and 10/11 SP at bookmakers.
Ran around midfield at the start, then pushed through to take the third position and led with three furlongs to go. Then kept that leading position before winning by a very respectable seven and a half lengths under the control of Sam Twiston-Davies. It was a good win for us yesterday.
Today's selection is Passional and runs in the 3.10 pm race at Lingfield.
The going at Lingfield today is classed as standard on this Polytrack all-weather course. The race is a handicap race and ran over a distance of five furlongs. Ten runners are headed to post, and the age range for this race is four years old and upwards. The youngest horses are four years old, and the eldest eight years old.
At first glance, Passional looks to stand head and shoulders above the rest, with only Indian Pursuit having won recently looking to the form string. Our selection has recorded twelve tips from the tipsters, with the only horse having been tipped is Indian Pursuit with just the one tip. So it looks like the tipsters certainly rate Passional very highly indeed.
Stuart Williams is the trainer and has a recent trainer form rating of a rather high seventy-three, encouraging. Over the last fourteen days, four wins from twenty-two selections for an eighteen percent win strike rate have been recorded. Six further placings have been secured over the same time period.
Rossa Ryan is the jockey on board for us today, who has had eight winners from the last thirty-one outings over the last fourteen days, for a healthy win strike rate of twenty-six percent, with a further eight place positions in the same fourteen-day window. A good jockey I'd say on those figures. Interestingly Rossa hasn't run for Stuart Williams over this two week time period, so this ride today may well be a booking that has been made especially for this race. We'll wait and see.
Passional ran seventeen days ago and had a solid course and distance win under his belt, which we always like to see. The last three races have all been won over the all-weather, and the most recent race at Lingfield. These races were won over today's distance, which can sometimes be a bit of a lottery at such a short length at times, has certainly proven no obstacle for our selection today. I really do like this horse's look today and will be looking to watching the race to see how it unfolds. He has solid form, a course and distance win and proven over the distance.
Current odds are around the 13/8 mark at Novibet, and 2.63 at the Betfair Exchange.
Finally, as always have a great day and let's hope our selection wins for us today.
