Loves Racing Review

Welcome to our Loves Racing review, where you will see us put this horse racing tipster service under the microscope for 90 days.

The service is run by Brett Love and tips are delivered to our inbox each morning via email and are also available from the membership area.  The Loves Racing review will see results recorded at advised stakes and also at £10 level stakes.

Quick Summarylovesracingreview

Welcome to our Loves Racing review, the latest service to be reviewed for Bets for Today.

Starting on 21 January we will be putting Brett Love’s “Loves Racing” tipping service to the test for the next 3 months. Brett, an ex footballer but with a horse racing/gambling background, focusses on higher class races and his recent results have been impressive. He made a substantial profit even at SP during a 5 month sequence of proofing selections to the Racing Post.

The 3 months will include the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the Grand National and Newmarket’s Craven meeting so I’m really looking forward to following progress, which I shall report on at monthly intervals.
Delivery looks like it should be straightforward via email and or password access to the website.

The service is pricey at £59.99 for a month, or £99.99 for 3, but as always it’s results that count. We shall see…

Month 1 Summary

A month has gone by since we began our Loves Racing review, a horse racing tipping service. By the tipster’s own admission, the month has been a disaster, not a single first past the post in 24 selections: only one placed horse from among the each way tips. Overall a loss of 27.5 points (£275 at £10 per point level stakes).

The service is straightforward: usually tips are delivered on Friday evening by email, followed by another email on the Saturday morning with further tips for the weekend.

The tipster mainly sticks to higher quality races. Each tip is accompanied by a detailed write up analyzing the bet. I’ve had no problems with receipt of emails though you are given direct log-in details for emergencies.

You have plenty of time to place your bets and the advised odds are usually available but as always the sooner you can place the selection after it’s been published the better.

Most best are win singles, plus a few each way selections. The advised stakes do vary between 0.5 and 2 points but the great majority are a straight 1 point. For that reason I am only reporting in detail at level stakes (1 point win or 1 point each way): there was very little difference between level and advised stakes outcomes during the month.

Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£275.00
Number of bets 24
Number of wins 1 placed
Strike Rate 4.2%
Return On Investment -89%

Month 2 Summary

After a disappointing first month our Loves Racing review improved its results in the second month (to 25 March), thanks largely to an 18 to 1 winner. The strike rate remained disappointing and overall there is still a loss being carried over to Month 3.

There were separate daily selections provided for the Cheltenham Festival – it was made clear that these did not form part of the normal service and punters were advised to create a separate bank of 50 points if they wanted to follow the tips. In the event, only one winner was tipped from 20+ selections and the suggested bank was badly damaged!

The tipster is confident of a turn round now that the flat season has begun in earnest and initial signs for Month 3 are very promising with a doubled strike rate. Here’s hoping that run continues.
