Yesterday's result

Yesterday our selection Lequinto ran in the 6.20 pm race at Kempton and managed to finish just out of the placings in the third postion from seven runners, at odds of 2.83 BSP at Betfair and 13/8 SP at the bookies.

He started the race being held back by the leaders, before making some headway with two left to travel. He then pushed along nicely and chased the leader with one to go. However, he never had the pace of the two leaders and failed to land the win for us yesterday.

Today's Selection

Today's selection is Beauport and runs in the 1.38 pm race at Fontwell.

The going at Fontwell is classed as Heavy for this turf meeting. The race is a class four Novice's Hurdle, over two miles and three furlongs. Fourteen horses are running, and the age criteria is for four-year-olds and upwards; the youngest is a five-year-old, the eldest a nine-year-old.

Form is not exactly strong in this race, and many horses look to not have had many competitive races. However, if I had to pick one threat, it would be Streets Of London, who has run well for Anna Newton-Smith over his last four races, with one win, one second and two third-place finishings. However, Beauport won in style last time out with the same jockey on board, over a similar distance, so my vote certainly goes to him for this race today.

We have the bulk of the tips today for Beauport with eight tipsters selection him to win, two for Golden Boy Grey and Calvario and just the one for Whatya On About with just the one.

Trainer Form

Nigel Twiston-Davies is our trainer for this NAP today, with a recent run to form figure of sixty-five per cent. He's won three of his last twenty-three selections within the previous fourteen days and landed the place in five.

Jockey Form

Jordan Nailor is the jockey being used by Nigel today and has won two of his last rides from his last four races over the previous two weeks and placed in another. So looks to be in good form lately. In his last race, he landed the win and worked with Nigel, so the two look very capable of pulling in a win.

Horse Form

Beauport last ran thirty-five days ago and has a course win under his belt. His last race was won by five lengths here at Fontwell, again with Jordan on board. Previous to that, a third-place finish at Southwell and, for his debut race before that at Fontwell, he landed a fourth-place finish. So an improving horse on each event, and it will be interesting to see how he'll run today here at Fontwell, having proven he can handle the course.

Betting Odds

Best odds can be currently taken at BetVictor at 13/8 and 2.62 over on Betfair.

Finally, as always have a great day, and let's hope our selection wins for us today. James.
