Welcome to our Speedster review, where you will see us put this horse racing tipster service from Betfan under the microscope for 90 days.  The tips are delivered to our inbox each morning via email and are also available from the membership area within Betfan.  The Speedster review will see results recorded at advised stakes and also at £10 level stakes.

    speedsterreviewQuick Summary

Today, we are commencing a three month trial of the Speedster tips. The sales page states that we can “Benefit from the speed system that can supercharge profits.”

This is a horse racing service and together with the tips, there is a short explanation for why they were chosen. The site says that there will be tips most days with the stakes varying between one and five points and that there will be a variety of bet types.

Tips are sent out via e mail in plenty of time to place the relevant bets. It is also possible to log into the Betfan site to obtain the tips, or alternatively register for the Android or Apple app for the fastest way to receive new tips.

There is no mention of a trial period or a money back guarantee. The recommended bank for this is £2500 to allow for £10.00 bets on the selections. I shall report back in a months time with an update as to how the trial is progressing.

    Month 1 Summary

We have reached the end of the first month of our Speedster review, and the results are a little bit of a mixed bag. The service sends out tips on an almost daily basis via e mail and in plenty of time to place the advised bets and therefore obtain the prices quoted.

Most of the bets are straightforward win or each way but occasionally, there are others such as trixies and patents also each way doubles. Full explanation are also given as to why each choice has been made.

I have been monitoring this service with two betting banks. The first of £1000-00 with most bets being either £10 win or £5-00 each way. The exotic bets have been staked accordingly to try and keep within these parameters.

A very small loss over the month of just over £22-00 which hopefully will be recovered in the second month of the trial. The second bank is £2500 and the bets have all been placed to advised stakes. Full results can be seen on the results spreadsheet.

It can readily be seen that betting using the advised stakes has almost halved the starting bank in a month. A considerable turnaround is going to be needed in the second month to recoup such a large loss.

I will report back in a month’s time with an update to our Speedster review as to how the trial is progressing.

Welcome to the latest betting opportunity to be reviewed for Bets for Today. Starting on 26th January we will be keeping tracks on Betfan’s horse racing tipping service “The Champagne Kid” for the next 3 months.

Ian (the Champagne Kid) promises an average of 2 to 3 tips a day (more on busy racing days) and since being on the Betfan Platform (from October 2017) an accumulated profit of well over 1000 points is reported, with just 3 losing months from 15.

Delivery looks like it should be straightforward via email and or password access to the website.

    Month 1 Summary

A month has gone by since we began our The Champagne Kid review, a horse racing tipping service. So far the review is running at a loss thanks to a very long losing run of 18 tips at the beginning of the review.

Since then there have been enough winners at least to break even and the last week of the review was profitable. A bank of 100 points and a strong nerve is recommended – at one point the service was more than 60 points down.

The service is efficient: tips are reliably delivered by email every day (even on the rare no selections days) in good time to place bets with occasional supplementary mails covering evening races. If in doubt you can log in to the “Kid’s” Betfan page.

On some busy racing days there can be several selections so you do need to allow a good few minutes checking and placing your bets. The majority are straight win selections, with around 20%+ each way.

Advised stakes are usually around 3 or 4 points but will often be lower for the higher priced selections. Advised odds are mainly in the 3.5 – 10 range using “BOG” bookies. The odds are usually available for a while but the value of using a “BOG” bookie was amply demonstrated in one particular winner at an SP of 15 compared to advised odds of 10.

February was a difficult month with the flu shut-down and some trappy racing. I’m hopeful that the “Kid’s” pick up in form towards the end of the month can now be sustained and built upon.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£185.45
    Number of bets 108
    Number of wins 17
    Strike Rate 16%
    Return On Investment -14.2%

    Month 2 Summary

The Champagne Kid review had a couple of good winners in Month two and for a while looked set to return the bank to profit. The strike rate improved from 16% to 18% but two long losing runs meant that, at level stakes, the month as a whole barely broke even and the overall position is still negative as we move forward into the final month.

At advised stakes a decent profit was returned for the month but, again, not enough to move the bank back into the black. It must be noted that to advised stakes The Champagne Kid faired much better than to level stakes.

The Kid also provided a free tipping service for the Cheltenham Festival although they came with advice to allocate a separate bank (ie not part of the main tipping service). He had an excellent Festival, despite a blank final day, recording a profit of better than 13 points for the event. Not bad for what is generally rated as one of the toughest betting events of the year.

    Quick Summarylovesracingreview

Welcome to our Loves Racing review, the latest service to be reviewed for Bets for Today.

Starting on 21 January we will be putting Brett Love’s “Loves Racing” tipping service to the test for the next 3 months. Brett, an ex footballer but with a horse racing/gambling background, focusses on higher class races and his recent results have been impressive. He made a substantial profit even at SP during a 5 month sequence of proofing selections to the Racing Post.

The 3 months will include the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the Grand National and Newmarket’s Craven meeting so I’m really looking forward to following progress, which I shall report on at monthly intervals.
Delivery looks like it should be straightforward via email and or password access to the website.

The service is pricey at £59.99 for a month, or £99.99 for 3, but as always it’s results that count. We shall see…

    Month 1 Summary

A month has gone by since we began our Loves Racing review, a horse racing tipping service. By the tipster’s own admission, the month has been a disaster, not a single first past the post in 24 selections: only one placed horse from among the each way tips. Overall a loss of 27.5 points (£275 at £10 per point level stakes).

The service is straightforward: usually tips are delivered on Friday evening by email, followed by another email on the Saturday morning with further tips for the weekend.

The tipster mainly sticks to higher quality races. Each tip is accompanied by a detailed write up analyzing the bet. I’ve had no problems with receipt of emails though you are given direct log-in details for emergencies.

You have plenty of time to place your bets and the advised odds are usually available but as always the sooner you can place the selection after it’s been published the better.

Most best are win singles, plus a few each way selections. The advised stakes do vary between 0.5 and 2 points but the great majority are a straight 1 point. For that reason I am only reporting in detail at level stakes (1 point win or 1 point each way): there was very little difference between level and advised stakes outcomes during the month.

    Number of bets 24

    Month 2 Summary

After a disappointing first month our Loves Racing review improved its results in the second month (to 25 March), thanks largely to an 18 to 1 winner. The strike rate remained disappointing and overall there is still a loss being carried over to Month 3.

There were separate daily selections provided for the Cheltenham Festival – it was made clear that these did not form part of the normal service and punters were advised to create a separate bank of 50 points if they wanted to follow the tips. In the event, only one winner was tipped from 20+ selections and the suggested bank was badly damaged!

The tipster is confident of a turn round now that the flat season has begun in earnest and initial signs for Month 3 are very promising with a doubled strike rate. Here’s hoping that run continues.

    Simplicity Racing Review

Welcome to our Simplicity Racing review, where you will see us put this horse racing tipster service from Proofed Tipsters under the microscope for 90 days.  The service is run by a tipster who runs two large companies and a racehorse owner, and says he treats this service just as he would with one of his two businesses, professionally.  The Simplicity Racing review will see results recorded at advised stakes and also at £10 level stakes.

    simplicityracingreviewQuick Summary

We are commencing a three month trial of the Simplicity Racing service which is a service that comes under the umbrella of Proofed Tipsters.

The introduction to the service tells us that the person behind it runs two large companies and is also a longstanding racehorse owner. Apparently, using two systems devised by himself, he will select a mixture of horses.

The starting bank is advised at 100 points and bets are to one point wins on Betfair unless indicated otherwise. His final statement is very bold – “Good luck punters but you won’t need luck with me!” Well, we shall see.

There is no free trial offered but there is a 60 day money back guarantee and you can cancel at anytime. I will report back on the results from this service in one month’s time.

    Month 1 Summary

We are now at the end of our first month of the trial of Simplicity Racing and it has not gone that well. The vendor boasts in his sales pitch “Good luck punters but you won’t need luck with me.” I will do no more than let the first month’s figures speak for themselves.

I have been accessing the recommended bets for this service direct from the site and they are generally posted in sufficient time to enable the bets to be placed at Betfair Starting Prices. Personally, I would much prefer a daily email for subscribers setting out the days bets as it is a pain having to get them for myself.

Not a very auspicious start to the service and it can only be hoped that there will be marked turnarounds in months two and three.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£113.50
    Number of bets 111
    Number of wins 19
    Strike Rate 17.2%
    Return On Investment -10.23%

    Month 2 Summary

We are now at the end of the second month of our Simplicity Racing review, and things have just gone from bad to worse! Like last month, I will let the figures speak for themselves.

The service still lacks a daily e mail service and this makes it a pain to keep logging into the site to get the daily selections as you do not know exactly when they will be posted. This needs to be addressed and quickly.

I have summarised the second month’s results below and as before, I have placed straight £10 win bets and £10 place bets where recommended as per the given selections.

A truly shocking set of results with the original bank now down almost 40%! I am not sure with the current problem with equine flu when racing will resume but I will continue with this review as soon as it does. Without a major turn around, I think that it is unlikely that the bank will last out for the third month.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£175.20
    Number of bets 69
    Number of wins 11
    Strike Rate 15.94%
    Return On Investment -25.39%

    Month 3 Summary

We are now at the end of our three month trial of the Simplicity Racing review and it is pleasing to report that it has had a large turnaround in the last month and whilst still in deficit from the original starting bank, the loss is now very small.

The service does have very long losing runs and you do need to keep your nerve with it. It still lacks a daily e mail service and this still needs to be addressed.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£386.10
    Number of bets 66
    Number of wins 13
    Strike Rate 19.7%
    Return On Investment 58.5%

    Simplicity Racing Racing Conclusion

The service then as stated above has made a remarkable turnaround but in the main, this is due to having had two winning bets at good prices. These sadly to say are very infrequent.

Our Simplicity Racing review has certainly had its ups and down’s over the three month trial period, and has emerged with only a very small loss at the end. In view of its recovery, I feel that it merits three stars and a neutral rating.

A rather slow start with only 2 outright winners and two small each way profitable bets from 17 bets in the first 7 days for our Rons Williams Racing review. Had it not been for a 12/1 winner this service would have been in a serious catch up situation.

The ship was steadied and went into profit. A bad run mid-month put the tipster in the red but once again with another 11/1 winner went from -12.84pts ending the first month in profit of 2.86pts.

I have confidence in this tipster and believe he can maintain a good level profit.

Another steady month of some good results for our Ron Williams Racing review with a profit of 35.55 points. What is encouraging is that there are no long losing runs (in fact 6 twice).

These losses didn’t have an effect on the P/L as winners were quite regular including a 20/1 and 7/1 winners. It would be surprising if this service did not add to its profits in the final month and look forward to another profitable month

    Number of wins 14

    Ron Williams Racing Conclusion

We close this Ron Williams review with an encouraging result. Although the first month did not show a huge profit, the second month showed what this tipster was all about. With a massive £400.50 profit.

Unfortunately this was not repeated in the final month, but nonetheless ending the third cycle with a profit of £129.08. What is encouraging is that somehow when there is a losing run the service seems to bounce back with a high priced winner, thus keeping punters always interested and usually in pocket.

I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this service to add to one’s portfolio and award it 4.5/5 stars. Straightforward and above all profitable, and of course backed up by Clickbank’s sixty day money back guarantee.

    Month 2 Summary

A rather disappointing second month of results after such a good start in month one. As this is a service that only has selections on major races at the weekend I find it difficult to see how it can recover.

The best results were two consecutive winning bets (twice) which does not really give any comfidence. However the first month proved that it was possible to obtain a decent profit so let’s hope there can be a turnaround.

Our third and final month managed to return back to profit as was seen in our first month, with a profit of £32.60 to £10 level stakes. The service certainly has merit, and has been around a long time. Many professionals claim to use the service as part of their portfolio.

    Number of wins 4
    Strike Rate 19.05%

    Bet Alchemist Conclusion

This has been a fairly steady service results wise. Due to the method of sending out tips (mainly weekends) there was never going to be many bets in the 90 days period.

A Strike Rate of 34.92% for a backing service is acceptable. However an ROI of 17.24% reflected by 14.31 points profit does not really stand up when 3 months subscription fees have to be considered.

The heavy loss in the second month was always going to make this service struggle and for that reason I will award it 3/5 as to be fair there was not really enough bets in the review period to realize the full capabilities of this service.

Should the author decide to send selections on a more regular basis then it would be worth having another review. Possibly one to watch long term, and one we will be keeping an eye on.

This has been a month to forget for this service, as it plunged from a 4.5 points profit to a 42 points loss with a mere 14 winners from 112 bets and a ROI of -37.50%.

It was unable to get a string of winners and there were losing runs of 10 – 14 which no punter can sustain such losses. Nothing short of a miracle can revive this service, so let us see how the final month will perform.

Selections were available the previous evening before racing and prices recommended readily obtainable with the major bookmakers.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£420
    Number of bets 112
    Number of wins 14
    Strike Rate 12.5%
    Return On Investment -37.5%

    Month 3 Summary

A much improved final month for our Deep Thought review from Betfan, which helped reduce the deficit, but nonetheless this service finished showing a loss due to the losses incurred in month two.

A losing run of thirteen consecutive losses did not help nor a best of two consecutive wins (once only).

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +205.41
    Number of bets 112
    Number of wins 19
    Strike Rate 16.96%
    Return On Investment 18.34%

    Deep Thought Conclusion

This service was very inconsistent with two profitable months of the three reviewed.  Somehow it was unable to get into a rhythm of winning results.

Consecutive winners were few and far between and in fact the best winning run was three (once) and two (twice) whilst losing runs were common with thirteen being the longest. No service can sustain this.

I am unable to recommend this service and award it 3/5.

Welcome to our StatMan review, where you will see us put this horse racing tipster service from Betfan under the microscope for 90 days.  The tips are delivered to our inbox each morning via email and are also available from the membership area within Betfan.  The StatMan review will see results recorded at advised stakes and also at £10 level stakes.

As the service has three separate areas, as detailed below we have just concentrated on the main ‘Nap Stat of the Day’ for our statistics tables. However Dave will be updating us with how each of the three areas are performing so we get a clear picture. So in one respect this service is like getting three tipping services for the price of one.

    statmanreviewQuick Summary

We are commencing a three month StatMan review. This is a horse racing service which aims to provide three bets a day as follows:-

    a. The main nap stat of the day – normally a short priced runner
    b. Each Way nap stat of the day – a runner with a strong chance
    c. Longshot – A FUN bet to minimum stakes.

Each bet is complete with an explanation as to why it has been chosen so that you can see some of the reasoning behind it.

I will record the results on the spreadsheet in the following way for the StatMan review:

First results sheet – Main Nap
Second results sheet – E/W Nap
Third results sheet – FUN bet.

These bets will be recorded to both level and advised stakes and I will report back in a months time with an update as to how the service is progressing.

    Month 1 Summary

We have now reached the end of the first month of our Statman review and it is pleasing to report that the bank has increased in two of the three categories and that there is only a very minor loss in the other one.

Statman’s bets come in three categories on a daily basis although sometimes there is no bet for that day in one or more of the categories.

    The categories are :-

    (a) Stat Of The Day which is normally a fairly short priced selection that is expected to win. I have placed straight £10-00 win bets on these selections.

    (b) Each Way Stat Of The Day – a longer priced selection that it is hoped has a very good chance of winning or obtaining a place. I have placed £5-00 each way bets on each of these selections.

    (c) Longshot Stat Of The Day – This is generally a bit of an outsider who is expected to perform above expectations and is generally available at a larger price. These are described as “Fun Bets” by the vendor. I have placed £5-00 each way bets on each of these selections.

The bets for the following day are usually sent out by e mail the night before which gives plenty of time to place them and get the prices that are advised. As usual it is best to use bookmakers offering Best Odds guaranteed as it can make quite a large difference to returns in the case of a win or place.

I will now summarise below the month’s results for each of the systems.

    Stat Of The Day
    Profit/Loss to £10-00 win stakes: £78.10
    Number of Bets: 24
    Number of Wins: 10
    Strike Rate: 41.67%
    Bank Growth: 7.81%
    Return On Investment: 32.54%
A good steady start to the first month for these selections.

Each Way Stat Of The Day
    Profit/Loss to £5-00 each way stakes: -£2.25
    Number of Bets: 27
    Number of Wins: 8
    Strike Rate: 29.63%
    Bank Growth: -0.225%
    Return on Investment: -0.83%
Not disastrous and can surely be turned around in month two.

    Longshot Stat Of The Day
    Profit/Loss to £5-00 each way stakes: £126-00
    Number of Bets: 28
    Number of Wins: 10
    Strike Rate: 35.71%
    Bank Growth: 12.60%
    Return on Investment: 45.00%
Somewhat surprisingly, the long shots have out performed the other two systems. Strike rate is not dissimilar but of course odds are generally somewhat higher making wins higher. Hopefully, this run can continue into the next month and beyond.

The first month then has seen the service perform well and it is to be hoped that this trend will continue for the rest of the trial.

I will update the results of the trial in a further months time on 29th December. The trial will run from 29th October 2018 until 28th January 2019.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£78.10
    Number of bets 24
    Number of wins 10
    Strike Rate 41.67%
    Return On Investment 32.54%

    Month 2 Summary

We have now reached the end of the second month of our trial of the
Statman service. Yet again, two of the three categories have seen an
increase in the bank but the loss in the other has been quite large.

Bets are still being received via e mail in good time to place them at the
advised prices. As with last month, i have summarised the results for each of the categories below:

    Stat Of The Day
    Profit/Loss to £10.00 win stakes: £123-23
    Number of Bets: 21
    Number of Wins: 9
    Strike Rate: 42.86%
    Bank Growth: 11.44%
    Return On Investment: 58.73%
This service continues to perform steadily and the bank is slowly increasing.

Each Way Stat Of The Day
    Profit/Loss to £5-00 Each Way Stakes: £114.50
    Number Of Bets: 21
    Number of Wins: 8
    Strike Rate: 38.1%
    Bank Growth: 11.47%
    Return On Investment: 54.52%
This is a nice turnaround from the previous month to put this system back in the black.

    Longshot Stat Of The Day
    Profit/Loss to £5-00 each way stakes: -(225.00)
    Number of Bets: 25
    Number of Wins: 1
    Strike Rate: 4%
    Bank Growth: -(19.98%)
    Return on Investment: -(22.2%)
In the first month, this service did extremely well whilst in this latest month it has performed very poorly resulting in a fairly large decrease in the bank.
These bets are put forward as speculative and hopefully, the trend will be reversed in the final month of the trial to put us back in the black.

The trial ends on 28th January 2019 and I will report back then with a final update on all three systems.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£123.23
    Number of bets 21
    Number of wins 9
    Strike Rate 42.86%
    Return On Investment 58.73%

    Month 3 Summary

Our three month review of the Statman service has now come to an end and it is time to give a final overview of the service. The three elements of the service have all performed differently in this last month and I have summarised the results for each of these below.

I have then done the same thing again to show how the service has performed over the entire period of the trial.

Stat Of The Day (final month)
    Profit/Loss to £10.00 win stakes £95-60
    Number Of Bets 21
    Number of Wins 10
    Strike Rate 47.62%
    Bank Growth 7.85%
    Return On Investment 45.52%

It will be seen that there has been a small but steady increase in the bank yet again this month.

Each Way Stat Of The Day (final month)
    Profit/Loss to £5.00 each way stakes -(£58-00)
    Number Of Bets 17
    Number Of Wins 5
    Strike Rate 29.41%
    Bank Growth -(5.26%)
    Return On Investment -(34.00%)

A loss overall for this part of the service for this final month.

Longshot Stat Of The Day (final month)
    Profit/Loss to £5.00 each way stakes £66.00
    Number Of Bets 15
    Number Of Wins 4
    Strike Rate 26.67%
    Bank Growth 7.24%
    Return On Investment 44.00%

And a decent profit for this part of the service.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£95.60
    Number of bets 21
    Number of wins 10
    Strike Rate 47.62%
    Return On Investment 45.52%

    StatMan Conclusion

I have now summarised below the results for all three services over the entire period of the trial.

Stat Of The Day (Full Trial)
    Profit/Loss to £10-00 win stakes £313.23
    Number Of Bets 66
    Number Of Wins 30
    Strike Rate 45.45%
    Bank Growth (from 0riginal £1000-00) 31.32%
    Return On Investment 47.45%

It can be seen from the above that the bank has increased steadily over the three month period of the trial.

Each Way Stat Of The Day (Full Trial)
    Profit/Loss to £5-00 each way stakes £44-25
    Number Of Bets 65
    Number Of Wins 21
    Strike Rate 32.31%
Bank Growth (from original £1000-00) 4.42%
    Return On Investment 6.81%

So once again a profit for the three month trial of our Statman review.

Longshot Stat Of The Day (Full Trial)
    Profit/Loss to £5-00 each way stakes -(£22-00)
    Number Of Bets 68
    Number Of Wins 15
    Strike Rate 22.05%
Bank Growth (From original (£1000-00) -(2.2%)
    Return On Investment -(3.24%)

Small loss for the trial, but nothing too drastic, and easily offset by the other two parts of the service.

From the above it can be seen that this is a steady service which in general terms does show a profit. The losses incurred are very small and certainly manageable considering that in the main, they arise from somewhat speculative bets, and the user could choose not to wager on these at all.

Throughout the trial i found that the e mails containing the selections were sent out in good time to place the suggested bets and that generally, prices quoted were still available.

The service overall has shown a profit over the trial period and I therefore feel that it merits four stars and a pass rating.

    Month 1 Summary

This Racing Goldmine service from Betfan is now at the end of it’s first month, and is something a little different. It is different in the respect that generally two to three horses are given out per race, so the strike rate can never really go above around 30% as naturally not all three horses can win one race. So when looking at the winning strike rate bare this in mind.

The advantage of having two or three horses running for us though per race makes it far more likely we will see a winner, and generally speaking the odds of the selections are in the mid to high price range meaning when we do see a winner it certainly pays.

Each selection is advised to a straight one point win, so it is easy to place bets quickly and smoothly. The bookie with the best odds is advised, and we found that the price held long enough for members to secure that price.

Betfan do provide a text messaging service which alerts you to when selections have been posted up on the site and/or an email has been sent out. So you can be assured of getting the best price if you act quickly.

For the month we seen a small profit of £12.00 to £10 level stakes, but we’re confident this will increase over the next two months. Join us next month, and see how our Racing Goldmine review fairs. James.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£12.00
    Number of bets 292
    Number of wins 31
    Strike Rate 10.6%
    Return On Investment 0.41%

    Month 2 Summary

Two months now under our belt for the Racing Goldmine review from Betfan and things are going very well indeed. Typically three horses are being backed per race, so you have three times as many chances to win theoretically. The strike rate once again is based on number of bets rather than number of races so the highest the winning strike rate can be is 33%.

Some decent priced winners have been seen, and this shows clearly in the results. Our betting bank never dips much even when we experience several races with no winners.

Selections are still available each evening, and a text service can be signed up for to let you know as soon as selections have been posted up, to ensure you secure the best possible prices for each selection.

So far I’d be happy to put my own money down on these selections, as Richard clearly knows how to pick the winners. Let’s see how it fairs in the final month. James.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£885.10
    Number of bets 251
    Number of wins 42
    Strike Rate 16.7%
    Return On Investment 35.26%

    Month 3 Summary

Three months testing has now been completed for our Racing Goldmine review, and although we did see a slight loss for the month the betting bank didn’t dip too much.

We hit a high of just over £1000 for the service at one point which is a brilliant return using £10 stakes on a £2000 suggested betting bank.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£63.70
    Number of bets 275
    Number of wins 31
    Strike Rate 11.3%
    Return On Investment -2.32%

    Racing Goldmine Conclusion

The service is different to other horse racing tipping services, in that two to three selections are generally given out per race. This doesn’t seem to affect profits though, and actually helps to reduce losing runs.

The odds of the selections are generous too which bodes well. No odds on horses here. Overall I would like to give the service a star rating of four and a half out of five. It would have been five if not for the number of selections, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Recommended.

    bankbuilderreviewQuick Summary

Welcome to the latest betting opportunity to be reviewed for Bets For Today.  In this Bank Builder review over the next 3 months we will see whether the service lives up to its publicity. It’s one of the most profitable looking services offered by the Football Advisor team whose products include Football and Racing selections and strategies and who entered the professional tipster market in 2014. The service has a simple aim: to double your betting bank. It is achieved with the help of “smart staking strategies” which both protect the betting bank and help maximise profits. So confident is Football Advisor about the potential success of this service that they guarantee to “double your betting bank or you get your money back”. Selections are on the win/draw/lose and goals markets, 5-10 per week with no more than 3 on any particular day. They are posted on the website and sent by e-mail by 8 a.m every day. Since the service was introduced in October 2017 an overall profit of 461 points is claimed with a very impressive 88.9% strike rate! A 100 point starting bank is recommended. The service is delivered in a series of up to 4 “cycles”. At time of writing they are in Cycle 2 and so we will be joining in midstream. The staking strategy is clearly a vital aspect so it’s likely that our usual practice of evaluating at both level and advised stakes may not be appropriate. However, once we see the service in action it will be clearer how the product is rolled out and our aim will be to produce monthly reports in the usual way with an overall review after 3 months. The price for entry to the next available ‘cycle’ is £39.95.

    Month 1 Summary

Our Bets for Today Football Advisor’s “Bank Builder” review has been running for a month and, as usual, we are producing an interim report on the service so far.

    Key points:

Very reliable notification service. Tips (including blanks) emailed by 8 a.m each morning with back up via website. Precise information given on stakes and selections.

    * Realistic advised odds

    * Very liquid markets (1 2 X major European Leagues) (* few if any tips during international break periods)

    * Usually around 10 tips per week, almost all on Fridays to Mondays

    * Requires higher strike rate than so far achieved

    Summary

Bank Builder seeks to double your starting bank in progressive cycles. You buy into a cycle for £39.95 and the cycle continues until the objective is met. It has two separate “modes” – each costs £39.95 – one concentrates on outright wins, the other on double chance selections. A further category (“Over 1.5 goals/Under 4.5 goals”) has been added free as both the main cycles are struggling for an acceptable strike rate. Our review has concentrated on the standard 1,2,X cycle but we have access to the double chance cycle and complementary over/under cycle and have watched progress on both.

    Method

Recommended starting bank is 100 points with a reserve of 50 points which may be injected to boost profits (this has been done on the Double Chance service). Football Advisor has devised and refined a staking strategy that, in short, seeks to play up winnings and minimise the effects of any losing runs. We have been asked not to divulge precise details of the strategy, nor the odds of selections. Our spreadsheet of results does show the matches selected so far (12X only) but historic data is given in the Football Advisor website. I would say that while the staking strategy may seem complicated at first glance, it is actually quite straightforward – plenty of assistance is given if you need it including advised stakes. The success or failure of the service depends on lengthy winning runs and so we are essentially dealing with “banker” selections. Historically the service is said to have achieved a strike rate above 88%.

    Conclusion

A series of unexpected slip ups by major clubs has led to disappointing figures for the two flagship services. However, the impeccable performance on over/under which, in little more than a fortnight, is already half way to its objective, shows the possibilities. Hopefully the next two months will see all services on track.

    Month 2 Summary

Our Bets for Today Football Advisor’s Bank Builder review has been running for two months now and, as usual, we are producing a further interim report. As before, because of our undertaking not to reveal details of staking and odds, we can only provide general comments and a few basic statistics.

Unfortunately it’s been a very poor month for the 1/2/X version, only 10 selections, and these included 4 losers, well down on the strike rate required to make the service successful. The current cycle began on 26 August (we have only been monitoring since early October) with a notional bank of £1000 and that bank has now fallen to just over £50.

In fact the current cycle is now so far behind target that a new cycle has been introduced which will run concurrently with the old one and is free to join for existing users. That is in addition to the free “Over/Under” Tips cycle which has been maintaining a high strike rate but not enough, so far, to show profits.

Meanwhile, in complete contrast to the 1/2/X version the “Double Chance” service (which you pay for separately) has done excellently: achieving a 92% strike rate in Month 2 which produced a profit of £1,114 (to advised stakes) in Month 2 and successfully meeting its target of doubling members’ banks.

    Conclusion

Results-wise cycle 2 of the 1/2/X service has been extremely disappointing. And the selections have temporarily dried up. Hopefully the gurus at Football Advisor will recover their confidence in the service and things will pick up in Month 3. At present, when looked at a single offering, the service is not value for money.

    Month 3 Summary

The review of Football Advisor’s “Bank Builder” service has reached its conclusion. Month three was a decided improvement with 17 winners from 19 selections (easily the best month in strike rate terms) and a small improvement in the overall position was recorded.

However, the service still showed a loss of more than 66 points over the 3 months as a whole.

    Profit/Loss during the month +£3.14
    Number of bets 19
    Number of wins 17
    Strike Rate 89.5%

    Bank Builder Conclusion

This service aims to double your betting bank with win selections, but that demands a high strike rate with lengthy winning runs. The staking strategy becomes defensive when too many losers are selected so great patience (and faith) is required in that event.

There are signs of improvement and with many of the main European leagues re-emerging from “winter hibernation” there should be no shortage of selections in the weeks ahead. The delivery of the tips has been absolutely reliable, market liquidity is good, advised odds etc are realistic and you are given precise instructions on staking.

There is access too, to a “bot” to simplify the daily processing (but I did not investigate/use it).

However, while the system’s potential is clear (and in fact the equivalent service based on double chance selections has recently successfully doubled its bank within a few weeks), it is difficult to be enthusiastic based on this particular run of selections and results.

Overall we’d have to give this service just two stars, so falls into the failed category.
