    Lucky 7 Naps Review

Welcome to our Lucky 7 Naps review, where you will see us put this horse racing tipster service from Betfan under the microscope for 90 days.  The service is run by Michael and tips are delivered to our inbox each morning via email and are also available from the membership area within Betfan.  The Lucky 7 Naps review will see results recorded at advised stakes and also at £10 level stakes.

    lucky7napsreviewQuick Summary

Welcome to our Lucky7Naps review, a horse racing tipster service from Betfan. We will be recording every result that they have over the next 90 days, and see whether Michael can make us a good return. The service looks to have started in February 2014, so certainly has a good solid past history on it’s side.

Selections are sent by email by 10am each morning, as well as been available on the Betfan website. The Lucky7Naps review will be recorded at advised stakes and prices, as well as to £10 level stakes.

From first inspection I notice the following key points from Racing Genius:

    * Bets are advised to win only
    * Using bookmakers is advised who offer BOG
    * 300 point betting bank advised, but from results so far I’d say 200 points

Follow us on our Lucky7Naps review, and see whether Michael can live up to expectations.

    Month 1 Summary

Month one of our Lucky7Naps review is over, and it’s been a pretty much break-even month to be honest. Past results on the Betfan website indicate that this can happen, as with all services, so to be expected at times.

Lucky7Naps is rated as one of the best performing services within Betfan’s arsenal of tipsters, and has been going since 2014, so it appears this is a service we should be able to rely on long term.

Over the course of our first month we seen a small loss of £20.52 to £10 level stakes bets. All selections are advised to win only, and it is advisable to use BOG bookmakers wherever possible to capitalise on the early enhanced odds of selections. It may be possible to use Betfair prices as soon as the selections are sent out, but we haven’t tested this out yet.

Selections are available in good time on the day of racing, and advised odds were always available for a decent amount of time from when the selection is given out. Betfan do offer to text you when a selection is put up for a small monthly fee, which would be a good idea should you decide to get involved with this service. This goes for all of Betfan’s services.

Overall I’m confident this service will come on in leaps and bounds over the next two months, if past results are anything to go by and Lucky7Naps long past history with Betfan suggests. Join me next month to see how our Lucky7Naps review is shaping up. James.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£20.52
    Number of bets 57
    Number of wins 13
    Strike Rate 22.8%
    Return On Investment -3.6%

    Month 2 Summary

This month has seen a much improved performance for our Lucky7Naps review, and I see why Betfan recommend this service so much. £283.30 to £10 level stakes or £1416.50 to their advised five points per bet is certainly more like it.

It has to be said that you are best getting on the selections as soon as you can once they are released. The best way around this is to pay a little extra for the text alert service that Betfan offer.

I do like this service, as you only get one or two selections generally, so not too intense but it still produces the goods. I’m looking forward to see how our final month goes.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£283.30
    Number of bets 51
    Number of wins 12
    Strike Rate 23.5%
    Return On Investment 55.5%

    Month 3 Summary

Things have gone from strength to strength with this service from Betfan. Some really good winners at double digit odds has boosted the betting bank brilliantly.

To advised odds a profit of £1969.50 has been this month, as selections are advised to £50 to win. This really is one of the best services Betfan has, and with a record of five years worth of results this is a brilliant addition to any portfolio.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£393.90
    Number of bets 49
    Number of wins 15
    Strike Rate 30.6%

    Lucky 7 Naps Conclusion

The results speak for themselves with this service. With such good results we have to award this service five stars. Very highly recommended.

    theformulareviewQuick Summary

A relative new service known as The Formula comes under our scrutiny as we review it for the next 90 days.

Using a very powerful “Secret Formula” the profits have been nothing but awesome! Some of the most impressive WIN & Each Way advice ever seen., as claimed by the owners of The Formula Nathan Lane and Dylan Pritchard.

Between March and September 25th 2018 Nathan and Dylan proofed and generated a massive +1,437 points profit. That’s a FANTASTIC £14,370 betting at £10 a point or £143,700 betting at £100 a point!!!

Their skills and methods have been sculpted after a very long learning experience which can be seen in the results. They show to be very profitable indeed.

No Crazy Staking Or Chasing Losses…
The Formula advises Win, Each Way and double bets and the staking strategy maintains modest points per bet.

What a way to start proofing a service. Although the first day of our The Formula review was a losing one, the second day (hopefully) showed what was to come with 100% winning bets of 16/1 and 15/2 (BOG) and a 77.29 double.

Results went a little sideways for the rest of October which ended with a healthy profit but a slight drop in profits after the high of the double.

November has not started well with only one win and 17 losers.
    Lets hope this is temporary.

Selections were available by mid-morning and prices recommended readily obtainable with the major bookmakers.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes £855.68

    Month 2 Summary

A bit of a let down after a great first month for our The Formula review, mainly reflected by the fact that only two doubles won, which was needed to boost profits, as the stats show that for the same amount of bets the S/R was similar to that of the first month but P/L was drastically reduced.

Looking forward to more success in the final 30 days as the NH season is now in full swing.

As usual selections were available by mid-morning although there were a few days when the emails did not arrive. Nonetheless the selections were always available in the Member’s Area.

Prices recommended were correct with the major bookmakers on arrival of the selections.

    Cleeve Racing Review

Welcome to our Cleeve Racing review, where you will see us put this horse racing tipster service under the microscope for 90 days.  The service has been run since 2011, and has never had a losing year to date.

The website is very professional in it’s set up, and you can clearly see the difference when compared to some other services out there. Everything on the site is clear and concise.

When there is a selection an email is sent, which then advises you to log in to the members area.  The Cleeve Racing review will see results recorded at advised stakes and also at £10 level stakes.

Review Period 17th September to 16th December 2018
Cost £10 for your first month, £40 per month afterwards, £99 per quarter, £179 per six months or £329 per year

    Month 1 Summary

Our first month for Cleeve Racing has started ever so slightly in profit to £10 level stakes, £5 each way or £10 to win.

To advised stakes though a loss of £180 has been seen unfortunately, but it is very clear that the team at Cleeve Racing that we are advised to take the rough with the smooth, and will always end up in profit over time.

For each race a very detailed explanation is given, and the reasoning for selecting it. The email alerting you to check the website is sent the day before in most cases, so you have plenty of time to get selections on. Which is a very useful feature for people who work office hours.

Overall even though we haven’t got off to a flying start yet I am confident that our Cleeve Racing review will kick into gear once we get more into the new jumps season. Crossing over from flat to jumps can be a tricky time of year, so I’m sure we’ll soon be in profit again as seems to be the case going on past results.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +3.00
    Number of bets 23
    Number of wins 7
    Strike Rate 30.4%
    Return On Investment 1.3%

    Month 2 Summary

Month two is now at an end for our Cleeve Racing review and by their own admission the last few weeks have not been too favourable for them. They do point to the long term view, and if you look to their past results over the last few years you’ll be able to see they do have an excellent record.

There has not been much action, with just six days out of the last thirty one where selections were given out. Whether being this selective is the way to go we will soon see in our final month’s review. Their write-ups of each race is very detailed, and you can clearly see they know what they are talking about.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£96.00
    Number of bets 14
    Number of wins 2
    Strike Rate 14.3%
    Return On Investment -68.57%

    Month 3 Summary

In our third and final month for Cleeve Racing we seen several decent priced winner at odds of 7/1, 9/1 and 7/2 which meant a profit for the month.

I feel that the service has merit, but needs a long term view to be monitored more thoroughly. There are never selections for the sake of it, and a thorough write up is always given for each selection which is good to see.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£44.35
    Number of bets 28
    Number of wins 8
    Strike Rate 28.6%
    Return On Investment 15.84%

    Cleeve Racing Conclusion

Even though our review didn’t go as well as we had hoped I’m still confident Cleeve Racing is a good service, but you certainly need to look at it as a long term money making venture. The rewards are there if you’re patient, but just not within our three month trial.

Overall, based on our review I have to give the service a neutral rating with a three out of five score. I will check back on the service in due course, and if things improve I’ll let you know by way of the BetsForToday daily newsletter.

    footballvaluetipsreviewQuick Summary

Welcome to our Football Value Tips review, our latest betting opportunity to be reviewed for Bets For Today.

We are putting “Football Value Tips” to the test for the next 3 months to see whether the service lives up to its publicity. It’s offered by Phil Rushton, who has 17 years experience of online betting, together with his team of tipsters.

As the title suggests the service seeks to identify value bets concentrating mainly on the EPL and other major European Leagues. A strike rate of better than 46% is claimed, along with consistent monthly profits and no excessive losing runs.

An unusual feature for those of us who prefer simplicity and not to have to spend too much time at our screens is that all tips for the week ahead are sent by a single email, the whole process is said to take 5-10 minutes a week to complete.

The Football Value Tips review will begin on 15th September 2018 and, as usual, interim reports will be produced at the end of months 1 and 2 with the final summary and review after month 3.

    SUMMARY OF REVIEW

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£118.60
    Number of bets 72
    Number of wins 25
    Strike Rate 34.7%
    Bank Growth -11.7%
    Return On Investment -16.5%
    Review Period tbc
Cost £14.95 per month or £67 per year

    Month 1 Summary

Our Bets for Today Football Value Tips review from Phil Rushton has been running for a month and, as usual, we are producing an interim report on the service so far.

    Key points

    * Very easy to operate, just a few minutes a week via an email on Friday mornings

    * Realistic advised odds

Very liquid markets and mainstream categories (1 2 X, Double Chance, BTTS, Any Time GoalScorer)

    * 6 tips per week (mainly EPL), 3 during the International Break

    * High strike rate but, so far, low profitability

    Summary

13 winners have resulted from the 27 tips in Month 1, an impressive strike rate especially as week 2 only scored one success from the 6 selections. However this has not yet been reflected in consistent profitability: 2.36 points ahead at level stakes and 2.175 at advised stakes.

    Interim Conclusion

A simple service with a very decent strike rate. With the international break out of the way I’m hoping for an impressive second month of tipping to get the ROI up.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +23.60
    Number of bets 27
    Number of wins 13
    Strike Rate 48%
    Return On Investment 1.8%

    Month 2 Summary

The review of Phil Rushton’s value tips service has now completed its second month. Unfortunately the promising start of month one has not been maintained and a loss is now showing across the board.

Month 2: Tips given between 20 October and 10 November.

Once again the tips consisted of six per weekend, majoring on the EPL. Delivery continued to be via a simple email on Friday mornings.

After achieving a 48% strike rate in Month one, the rate plummeted in Month two. Just six wins from the twenty four selections (strike rate 25%). Despite one of the winners being a Correct Score (0-0, Southampton vs Newcastle) at odds of 8.0, this resulted in a loss at level stakes and a very large one, of over 35 points, at advised stakes.

The first week of the second month’s review resulted in six straight losers. Things were better in weeks two and three but any hope of a recovery was dashed by achieving only a single winner in the fourth week.

A big task ahead to get back on track.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£76.00
    Number of bets 24
    Number of wins 6
    Strike Rate 25%
    Return On Investment -31.67%

    Month 3 Summary

The Phil Rushton’s Football Value Tips review  has reached its conclusion. Unfortunately the downturn experienced in Month two was continued in Month three with only six winners from twenty one selections (28.6% strike rate).

It’s a shame, as the service is nice and straightforward with emails arriving like clockwork well in advance.

    https://www.betsfortoday.com/FootballValueTips

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£74.60
    Number of bets 21
    Number of wins 6
    Strike Rate 28.6%
    Return On Investment -35.5%

    Football Value Tips Conclusion

Month three was another disappointing period for the Football Value Tips service. The 28.6% strike rate was well down on what is required to make a profit at level stakes, and dragged down the overall strike rate for the review to 34.7%. Average odds are around 2.5 so a rate around 40% is required simply to break even.

Over the three months our notional bank fell by 11.7% to level stakes of £10 while at advised odds (which are usually 5 points for straight bets and 1.5 to 2.5 for more speculative ones) the performance was relatively worse: a negative return on investment of some 18.9% and a decline in the bank’s value of 54%.

I’ve commented favourably already on the “nuts and bolts”: it’s a very simple and reliable service especially as regards the odds that are generally easy to find and quite often to better.

But winners are the name of the game and those have have been few and far between in recent weeks. I am sure the tipster’s luck will turn at some point as his overall published record is impressive. But at present I feel the service is “best watched”.

    Early Odds Review

Welcome to our Early Odds review, where you will see us put this horse racing tipster service from Betfan under the microscope for 90 days.  The service is run by Max and tips are delivered to our inbox each morning via email and are also available from the membership area within Betfan.  The Early Odds review will see results recorded at advised stakes and also at £10 level stakes.

    earlyoddsreviewQuick Summary

Today, we are commencing an Early Odds review for three months, which is run under the Betfan umbrella.

This is a horse racing service run by someone called Max who in the sales page states that he is a professional horse racing bettor and a computer programmer from Montenegro.

He claims to be able to calculate the odds “A little better than the bookmakers,” and that makes a profit. This seems to be a very bold claim to make (given the money and the resources that the bookmakers have) and only time will tell if it is correct.

There is the usual sales blurb about being restricted by the bookmakers and the difficulty that he would have opening other bookmaker accounts. These sorts of statements ALWAYS make me hesitate as I always wonder just why these individuals do not use exchanges where they will not be restricted?

The service itself, aims to provide around five tips a day with most of these being sent out by 10 p.m. the day before racing. All of these bets are to one point level stakes and I shall record them as such.

There is no mention of either a trial period or a money back guarantee.
I will report back in a month’s time with my Early Odds review, with the first set of results.

    SUMMARY OF REVIEW

    Month 1 Summary

Our Early Odds review has now reached the end of the first
month of the trail and the initial bank has increased from £1000.00 to
£1130.00, nearly enough to cover the subscription for six months.

Selections are sent out via e mail in plenty of time to place the recommended bets and get the prices quoted. All of the bets are level stakes win bets. In this first month, I have placed a total of seventy five (75) bets and of these, twelve (12) have been winners.

This is a steady start to the service and it will be interesting to see if it can
continue in the same vein for the second month of the trial.
I will update the results in a further month’s time.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£130.00
    Number of bets 75
    Number of wins 12
    Strike Rate 16%
    Return On Investment 17.33

    Month 2 Summary

We have now reached the end of the second month of our Early Odds service review, and it is pleasing to report that the bank has increased further from £1130.00 to £1240.00 which is an increase over the month of £120.00.

Overall, in the last month, I have placed a total of eighty two (82) bets and of these, ten (10) have been winners. These were all level stakes bets and the selections have always been received via e mail in plenty of time to obtain the prices quoted.

The service continues to perform steadily and it will be interesting to see if it can continue like this for the third and final month of the trial. I will update the results at the end of the trial in a further months time.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£120.00
    Number of bets 82
    Number of wins 10

    Month 3 Summary

Our trial of the Early Odds service has now come to an end and in the third month, the bank has increased again by some £141.50 from £1240.00 to £1381.50.

Overall, in the last month, i have placed a total of eighty five (85) bets and of these eleven (11) have been winners. These were all level stakes bets and as usual in each case, the selections have been sent out in plenty of time via e mail to obtain the prices quoted.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£141.50
    Number of bets 85
    Number of wins 11
    Strike Rate 12.94%
    Return On Investment 16.64%

    Early Odds Conclusion

After three months for our Early Odds review I think this service can be relied on to return a steady profit each month. Betfan have a good service in this one.

The service has performed steadily throughout the period of the trial,
returning a profit every month. I would give this service 4 stars out of 5.

    Month 1 Summary

The first month of our ‘The Judge’ review from Betfan, has now been completed.

Tips are sent by email every day, and even on the very few occasions that no bets are selected you receive notification that it is a blank day. Generally emails arrive around mid-late morning but can be as late as 6 pm. There are 2-3 tips per day on average. You are given a log in for the Betfan site and can also access the tips from there. The tips give the selection, with advised stake and odds at time of selection (with relevant bookmakers).

A starting bank of 200 points is recommended but, based on one month’s experience, that seems far bigger than necessary – a strike rate of exactly 1 in 3 ensured that the longest losing run so far was 7 bets (maximum of 35 points if you follow the advised staking).

The crucial matter is being able to get the advised odds, prices of The Judge’s tips almost always shorten during the day and the longer you leave it the shorter the price is likely to be (there were a few examples of the odds not shortening or in a couple of cases lengthening so placing your bet with a “BOG” bookie is sensible.)

I have presented the results on the spreadsheet in three ways. First, level stakes (1 point) at SP. Second, advised stakes (1-5 points) at SP and finally advised stakes at advised odds. This is to give you an idea to how each staking strategy works.

So for example staking to £10 level stakes to SP would have seen a £49.10 loss this month, advised stakes to SP an £18 loss, and finally a very nice £744.50 to advised odds at advised stakes.. So it’s very clear that getting your bets on as soon as possible from when you receive the email with the selections is key.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£49.10
    Number of bets 75
    Number of wins 25
    Strike Rate 33%
    Return On Investment -6.5%

    Month 2 Summary

The second month of our review of the Betfan greyhound betting opportunity: “The Judge” has now been completed. Not quite the success of month one but still a very decent return of 48 points to advised odds and stakes, putting the service nearly 123 points up since the start of our review using advised stakes and advised odds.

There is a “but” however. Once again, when based on SP rather than advised odds, a loss is shown. I must therefore stress again the importance of being able to act quickly to secure the best available odds.

The Judge started the month in prime form including tipping the pillar to post winner of the Irish Greyhound Derby at 16/1 (SP was eventually 12/1 but 16’s were available most of the day). However, his strike rate fell away as the month progressed with a number of barren patches including a run of 12 consecutive losses.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£45.73
    Number of bets 62
    Number of wins 18
    Strike Rate 29%
    Return On Investment -7.4%

    Month 3 Summary

The third and final month of our Betfan/Bet Kudos greyhound betting opportunity “The Judge” review has now been completed. It was similar in character to Month two.

The strike rate was not as impressive as the stellar Month one but the service still managed a modest profit of over five points at ‘advised stakes and odds.’

As with Month two the performance included one particularly lucrative winner, this time a straight forecast paying just under 20-1.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£18.44
    Number of bets 62
    Number of wins 16
    Strike Rate 25.8%
    Return On Investment -2.97%

    The Judge Conclusion

The service recorded an overall profit of 128.3 (1283.30 to £10 level stakes) points at advised odds and stakes (RoI 15.6%) , but made a loss of 11.3 points at level stakes and SP (-5.7%).

Although there was a small loss at level stakes/SP I would have no hesitation in recommending this service, provided you have a degree of patience and commitment..

    Plus points

A simple method:- Selections are given in a daily email, you can also access them through the Betfan website. There’s rarely more than four selections per day. There are blank days- but you are notified so you’re not left hanging on waiting for selections, You are given advised odds, stakes and bookmakers with the selections. Most of the bookmakers are mainstream, though to consistently take advantage of best early prices you’ll need accounts with several of the main players. Nearly all the bookies concerned offer “Best Odds Guaranteed” which is useful on the (very rare) occasions that SP exceeds the early price. The great majority of tips are straight wins. Occasionally there is a Straight Forecast, an each way (most bookies offer 3 places on greyhound open races- check before you place your bet) or a double.

    Minus points

It can be quite time consuming placing bets. Often the advised odds are not available by the time you’re able to place your bet so you then have to check around manually (you can use the likes of Odds Checker to help but even that can be hit and miss). In fact many of the selections get backed down quite substantially from the opening odds and to maximise profit it’s essential to get your bets on as soon as possible. You don’t normally have the failsafe of backing via the exchanges as liquidity is rarely strong enough.
You need patience and to accept that there will inevitably be losing runs. There were a few longish losing patches…up to a dozen running. Often the wins come in clusters. In fact overall the service was in profit from the opening day, and – at least at advised odds and stakes- never got close to falling into loss.

Despite a pricey looking £48 per month for full access (£96 per quarter) this can be a profitable opportunity. The “Judge” has been around for a long time and has a historic strike rate of 30%, 29.6% was achieved in this review. And it’s fun. Nearly all of the races are available to watch online and or Sky TV. Great stuff when your dog bolts home (especially when it gives the favourite a crafty nudge on the way!)

Overall we give this a service a pass as long as you bet to advised odds along with advised stakes.

    twlprotipsreviewQuick Summary

This week, we are commencing a trial of a horse racing service under the
Betfan umbrella. The service is the Winners List Daily Pro Tip. This service aims to provide a daily bet from Monday to Saturday each week. The tip is sent out by e mail the night before racing in plenty of time to obtain the best odds available.

It is readily apparent that the longer you subscribe for, the cheaper it becomes. There is no mention on the site of either a refund or cancellation period.

The sales page states that they allegedly offer “winning bets that make you jump out of your seat.” A bold claim to make but hopefully it will be fulfilled.

I will be recording the results of the selections given out by the service to their advised stakes and also to level £10 stakes and will be reporting back in a month’s time with the results. I’m looking forward to see our TWL Pro Tips review performs over the three months.

    SUMMARY OF REVIEW

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£13.80
    Number of bets 67
    Number of wins 23
    Strike Rate 34.3%
    Bank Growth -0.01%
    Return On Investment -2.06%
    Review Period 20th August 2018 to 15th November 2018
Cost £7 for first fourteen days, four weeks £45, three months £85 and six months for £99

    Month 1 Summary

Our Winners Daily List -Pro Tip, or TWL Pro Tips review has reached the end of the first month, and has seen a small increase in the initial bank from £1000.00 to £1089.10, which is always pleasing.

Selections are sent out in plenty of time to both place the recommended
bets and obtain the prices quoted. All bets are level stakes win bets. During this first month of the trial, I have placed a total of twenty five (25) bets and of these, twelve (12) have been winners.

This is a nice steady start for the service and hopefully this will continue not only into the second month of the trial, but throughout the whole period. I will report back in a further month with an update as to how the service is progressing.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£89.10
    Number of bets 25
    Number of wins 12
    Strike Rate 48%
    Return On Investment 35.64%

    Month 2 Summary

We are now at the end of the second month of our review of The Winners
List Daily Pro Tip and it has not been a good one. Our bank of £1089.10 has now decreased to £990.40 which is some £9.60 below our initial starting bank of £1000.00.

The selections continue to arrive in plenty of time to place the bets but many of the prices are quite short meaning that wins are not large and losses take some time to recover. This month, i have placed a total of twenty two (22) bets and of these only five (5) have been winners.

The figures for this month are a complete turnaround from the last month and it will take some good wins in the third and final month to turn the service around so that it shows a profit. Hopefully, this can be achieved and I will report back in a further month with the final update on the service.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£98.70
    Number of bets 22
    Number of wins 5
    Strike Rate 22.72%
    Return On Investment -44.86%

    Month 3 Summary

We have now come to the end of our trial of The Winners Daily List Pro Tip and it has made a slight loss from last month of £4.20 and a loss over the course of the trial of £23.80. This is not good but at the same time, it is not disastrous.

Putting the final month into perspective, I have placed a total of twenty (20) bets of which, six (6) have been winners. In the main, selections are short priced which means that a high strike rate is required to make a profit.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£4.20
    Number of bets 20
    Number of wins 6
    Strike Rate 30%
    Return On Investment -0.02%

    TWL Pro Tips Conclusion

The hoped for wins in the final month of the trial failed to materialise and
resulted in a very small overall loss for the month and indeed for the whole trial.

With just one selection a day and mainly at short prices, turning a profit
is always going to be challenging.

On the basis of the results, I would give this service two stars.

    dogracewagersreviewQuick Summary

Today we are starting our three month Dog Race Wagers review, under the BetFan banner. This service e mails bets on greyhounds giving full details of the bet to be placed and also suggesting the bookmaker to be used. This is useful as not all bookmakers price up greyhound racing very far in advance of the races actually starting. There is generally only one bet a day. No prior knowledge of Greyhound racing is assumed and all that is required is a computer or smartphone to collect the daily information, a bookmakers account to place the bets and a small starting bank. Membership starts with a low cost trial costing £7-00 + VAT for the first fourteen days giving you the opportunity to test the service for yourself. I will be recording the results  for our Dog Race Wagers review  given out by the service to their advised stakes and also as usual to £10 level stakes and will report back in a months time with an update.

    SUMMARY OF REVIEW

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£138.85
    Number of bets 70
    Number of wins 32
    Strike Rate 45.7%
    Bank Growth 13.89%
    Return On Investment 19.84%
    Review Period 9th July – 2nd October 2018
Cost £7 for a trial period, then £27 for 28 days or £54 for 90 days

    Month 1 Summary

The first month of our Dog Race Wagers review has now passed, and it has resulted in a very small overall loss. The emails arrive in plenty of time to place the bets and the prices quoted are generally available at this time.

During the month, I have placed a total of twenty four bets and of these, nine have been winners. This is not disastrous but could obviously do with some improvement for the subsequent months of the trail.

The loss at advised stakes (normally 3 point or £30 bets) is as expected three times the loss at £10 stakes with the starting bank of £1000 being reduced in this instance to £880.00. I shall report back in a further month with an update on how the service is progressing.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£40.00
    Number of bets 24
    Number of wins 9
    Strike Rate 36%
    Return On Investment -16.67%

    Month 2 Summary

The second month has now passed for our Dog Race Wagers review and it has resulted in a nice turnaround to put us in profit. The e mails arrive in plenty of time to place the bets and the prices quoted are generally available at this time.

During the month, I have placed a total of twenty five bets (25) and of these, a very healthy sixteen (16) have been winners. This is excellent news and hopefully, it will continue into the final month of the trial.

The profit at advised stakes (normally 3 point or £30 bets) is as expected three times the profit at £10 stakes, with a £386.71 profit showing since we began.

I shall report back in a further month with the final results at the end of the trial of this service.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£168.85
    Number of bets 25
    Number of wins 16
    Strike Rate 64%
    Return On Investment 67.54%

    Month 3 Summary

Our trial of the Dog Race Wagers service has now come to an end and it is
pleasing to report that overall, the service has made a profit. The last month of the trial however has only seen a £10 increase in the bank which is not great but is at least an increase.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +10
    Number of bets 21
    Number of wins 7
    Strike Rate 33.33%
    Return On Investment 4.76%

    Dog Race Wagers Review Conclusion

Overall, the trial period has resulted in a profit. I feel therefore that a rating of three stars is fair given that from the profit of £138.80 to £10 level stakes,  you have to deduct the membership fee of £54 so that your actual profit after that is only £84 which over a three month period is less than £1 a day.

To advised stakes you would have faired better, with a £446.50 profit seen, generally to three points per selections being bet. So a £392.50 profit if you chose to bet this way.

If you are looking for something different as a betting medium then you may wish to add this method to your portfolio.

    Quick Summary

Welcome to our Racing Genius review, a horse racing tipster service from Pete Thomson.

We will be recording every result that he has over the next 90 days, and see whether he can make us a good return. The service looks to have started in December 2017, so is a relatively young service, but going on the recorded results on the site that isn’t a problem.

Selections are sent by email each morning by 10am. The Racing Genius review will be recorded at advised stakes and prices, as well as to £10 level stakes.

From first inspection I notice the following key points from Racing Genius:
    * Bets are advised to win or each way
    * A 45% strike rate is to be expected
    * Return on investment at 52%
    * Using bookmakers is advised who offer BOG, but is still profitable at Betfair
    * 100 point betting bank advised

Follow us on our Racing Genius review, and see whether Pete can live up to expectations.

    Month 1 Summary

Our first month of the Racing Genius review has now come to an end, and things are looking nice and steady for this relatively young service from Pete Thomson. He emails selections each day, typically before 10am the day of racing, sometimes the night before. Within his email he lets you know which bookie has the best odds, and if they are offering extra places for when bets are advised as each way bets.

The majority of bets are each way, the others win only. Pete always seems to advise either half a point each way, or one point to win, so no fancy playing about with points values etc. There aren’t bets everyday, as Pete is selective and it shows in his professional outlook regarding results.
Results have been recorded to advised odds or best odds guaranteed when odds increase before the the start of the race. I found prices easily available for an extended time which is encouraging.

Whether the service could be used on Betfair only I don’t know, but it may well be possible if you place the bets as soon as the email arrives each day.

Overall I am happy with this service, the betting bank has never suffered greatly, and the strike rate is high enough to not cause too much concern for the future. Join me next month for our second month Racing Genius review.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +£155.62
    Number of bets 73
    Number of wins 25
    Strike Rate 35.70%
    Return On Investment 40.95%

    Month 2 Summary

Our second month of our Racing Genius review is now in, and it’s not been as good as the first month unfortunately. To be fair there have been winners, just not enough to make this month profitable. I guess this is part and parcel of backing at slightly higher odds, losing runs do and will occur.

Pete’s emails are still arriving into my email account like clockwork each day, having said that he does not give out selections on Sunday and Monday’s, purely due to racing not been of a good enough quality to make it worthwhile.

What I do like about this service is that he clearly advises you which bookmakers to use who are offering extra places and better places terms, as well as the bookmakers offering the better prices, so I can see he is always looking for value on all of his selections, which is always a good sign.

Overall the service is in profit, just, at £37.84 to £10 level stakes since the start of our trial. It will be interesting to see how the third and final month does, I do hope it improves once again, as Pete is a really genuine guy who is clearly working hard to make his selections the best they can be. Speak to you all next month.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes -£117.78
    Number of bets 42
    Number of wins 11
    Strike Rate 26.1%
    Return On Investment -22.65%

    Month 3 Summary

The third and final month of our Racing Genius review seen an improvement on last month, but although the winning strike rate was better than the first month, the profit seen was not quite as high as the first month. Still £87.87 to advised stakes, either a £5 each way bet or a £10 win bet is good in anyone’s books.

There were only just over half of days when a selection was given out, and Pete does this for a very good reason. Some days racing is just of a poor quality, so he prefers to not give out selections just for the sake of it, which I personally do like. Definitely quality over quantity.

What is good too is that he tells you which bookmakers are offering extra places, as well as which ones are offering enhanced place payouts. This all adds up, so a nice addition to the service. Also that he does not advise varying points values per bet, straight half a point each way or one point win, so this service is very transparent in this respect.

    Profit/Loss to £10 Level Stakes +87.87
    Number of bets 36
    Number of wins 15
    Strike Rate 42%
    Return On Investment 24.41%

    Racing Genius Conclusion

Now our Racing Genius is over we can see that the service is capable of making a profit, which is although not that much to advised level stakes of £10 per horse, it is certainly relatively stable. So with confidence higher stakes could produce the goods.

Pete clearly does his homework, and before giving out the selections for the day checks on where the best prices are, as well as which offer enhanced place odds etc.

Overall I would give this service a score of 3 ½ out of 5 stars at this point in time. I do get the feeling that this could be a service worth getting involved with, and at just £14.95 or £67 for the year it is definitely good value for money.
